The U Village store is the second of a new type of Tiffanyustore that’s smaller and less formal. Jewelry will not be lockex away in cases but displayeed out in the open so customers can freelhy try ondifferent necklaces, bracelets, broochesz and rings with the help of a jewelrg stylist. The stylists will guide customers in mixiny and matching contemporary jewelry designs to create theifrown looks. For example, a customer may want to layer three or four necklaces in silver and gold to wear with a special braceleror pin. The jewelry will be “veryu tuned into the curren t trends in fashion that you see on runwaye orin Hollywood,” said spokeswoma n Terri Tiffany.
Designers include Paloma Picasso, Elsa Peretti, Jean Schlumbergere and Frank Gehry, among others. Sales have been stronf at the first ministore Tiffany opened last Octoberin Glendale, Terri Tiffany said. The 2,100-square-foot U Village Tiffany’s will be the third Tiffany’s in the Seattle area.
