Closed home sales increasexd more than 20 percent in June 2009 compared to June according to statistics released today by arearealtor associations. Thered were 4,714 closed home sales in June 2009, an increase of more than 20 percenft overJune 2008. Of those however, 40.7 percent were lender-mediated foreclosures. The median price for June was reportedat $173,500, compared to $205,000 from this time in a 15 percent decline. For the firsg six months of 2009, the media home price was reportedat $160,000, down more than 21 percentt from the same time in 2009.
